Rates: £25.00 per hour plus expenses.

Expenses include, but are not limited to, the cost of copies and postage, fees required for ordering legal documents (i.e. birth, marriage and death certificates), and travel expenses for on-site research.

Initial Retainer: An initial retainer of 50% of research time or the first 10 hours of research, which ever is smaller, must be paid prior to any research beginning. (Any exceptions to this will need to contact me directly and arrangements made. For example, for taking cemetery photos only.)

Research time includes: The analysis of your genealogical goals, the examination of pertinent records, and the writing of reports (including pedigree charts, family group sheets, computer data entry, gedcom files).

Brick Walls: All research initiated for the client is on the understanding that if a "brick wall" is encountered before that pre-paid limit is reached, then all research stops at that point, and the client is consulted as to how they wish to proceed.

Additional Research: If additional research is required, the client will be consulted before proceeding. When an agreement is made, permission granted and payment received then research will recommence.

Payment: All payments must be made in UK £ (pound sterling) via PayPal.
